In this case, while I can just take individual country and pop files, I want all of them, so will copy everything. Once I’ve found the files I want, I’m going to copy them into my own mod folder (keeping the same folder structure). These are located repsectivly in “Victoria 2\history\countries” and “Victoria 2\poptypes”. In this case I want to change two things a country history file, and a pop file.
These will be found in various folders in your Victoria 2 install directory. The goal is to make a basic change that we can see ingame and easily test to make sure it works.įirst we need to identify the files we want to mod. Now that we’ve set up a technically working mod, it’s time to actually make some changes.
